

Gut Healing Strategy
When I connected the dots to my health story, I realized I had been suffering from a gut issue for over 35 years, which, from everything I have read, means I had chronic inflammation, and based on my self-assessment, I had this inflammation for most of my adult life. Since digestive inflammation prevents the absorption of essential nutrients and enzymes, I concluded that I suffered from malabsorption.

When the gut is inflamed, it can lead to a cascade of health issues, including mental health issues like depression and anxiety. To reduce inflammation, I removed known inflammatory foods from my diet.

I read that it only takes one round of antibiotics to change the balance of your gut flora forever. Once out of balance, Candida and parasites have the green light to overpopulate.

With bacteria and other microbes vastly outnumbering the human cells in our bodies, we’re more bacteria than we are human. Our bodies cannot function properly without bacteria. Bacteria support our immune system and helps us process and absorb nutrients.
