My Journey to Healing
My name is Kit, and for most of my life, I carried a quiet ache—an inner knowing that something essential had been lost in childhood. In 2015, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. But rather than seeing it only as a disease of the body, I felt it as a wake-up call—a messenger from my soul, asking me to look deeper.
I chose to heal holistically. And in doing so, I discovered something life-changing: our bodies remember what our minds try to forget. Childhood trauma isn’t just a memory—it lives on in our cells, in our emotional patterns, in the ways we disconnect from ourselves and others.
Through inner child work, somatic awareness, journaling, and spiritual connection, I began to find the child I had lost. I’ve dialogued with her. Sat beside her. Held her hand as we walked back through memories long buried.

That journey inspired the name of this site: A Hidden Wholeness. Because beneath the layers of pain, shame, and fear... we are still whole. We were never truly broken—only wounded.
Why I Do This Work
Why
I am not a licensed therapist but a guide, an educator, and a survivor. I’ve spent years studying trauma, childhood wounding, and emotional healing through the lens of Dr. Gabor Maté, Alice Miller, Bessel van der Kolk, and Dr. Hamer. I’ve lived the research. I’m walking the long road of healing.
I believe childhood trauma is at the root of so many struggles: chronic illness, addiction, disconnection, and shame. And I believe integration—the conscious weaving in of our fragmented parts—is the most sacred work we can do.
I now offer education, guided journaling practices, and trauma-informed support for others ready to begin that journey.
My Invitation to You
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to “figure it all out.”
You just have to be willing to get curious.
If you feel called to reconnect with your inner child…
If you’re tired of carrying pain that doesn’t belong to you…
If you’re ready to return to the wholeness that’s been hidden inside you all along...
You are welcome here.
A Note on Inner Child Work
Inner child work can be profoundly healing, but also emotionally intense. It often stirs buried memories, grief, and emotions that have long gone unacknowledged. While I offer tools, education, and personal insights from my healing journey, I am not a licensed therapist.
I strongly encourage anyone engaging with this work also to seek the support of a qualified mental health professional, especially if you have a history of trauma, abuse, or emotional dysregulation. There is no shame in needing support. In fact, reaching out for it is a powerful act of self-love.
You don’t have to walk this path alone.
