My Journey to Healing
My name is Kit. For much of my life, I sensed something important from my childhood was missing. In 2015, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rather than seeing it solely as a physical illness, I viewed it as a wake-up call, prompting deeper self-reflection.
I chose a holistic approach to healing. Through this process, I learned that our bodies retain what our minds try to forget. Childhood trauma is not just a memory; it remains in our bodies, shapes our emotions, and influences our relationships with ourselves and others.
Through inner child work, body awareness, journaling, and spiritual connection, I began to reconnect with the child I thought I had lost. I engaged with her, reflected on past experiences, and offered support as we revisited old memories.

This journey inspired the name A Hidden Wholeness for this site. Beneath pain, shame, and fear, we remain whole. We are not broken, only wounded, and wounds can heal.
Why I Do This Work
Why
I am not a licensed therapist. I am a survivor. I’ve spent years studying trauma, childhood wounding, and emotional healing through the lens of Dr. Gabor Maté, Alice Miller, Bessel van der Kolk, and Dr. Hamer. I’ve lived the research. I’m walking the long road of healing.
I believe childhood trauma is at the root of so many struggles: chronic illness, addiction, disconnection, and shame. And I believe integration, the conscious weaving in of our fragmented parts, is the most sacred work we can do.
I now offer education, guided journaling practices, and trauma-informed support for others ready to begin that journey.
My Invitation to You
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to “figure it all out.”
You just have to be willing to get curious.
If you feel called to reconnect with your inner child…
If you’re tired of carrying pain that doesn’t belong to you…
If you’re ready to return to the wholeness that’s been hidden inside you all along...
You are welcome here.
A Note on Inner Child Work
Inner child work can promote deep healing, but it may also surface strong emotions or unresolved memories. While I share tools, information, and personal experiences, I am not a licensed therapist.
If you choose to pursue this work, I encourage you to seek support from a qualified mental health professional, especially if you have experienced trauma, abuse, or emotional challenges. Seeking help is a sign of strength and self-care.
You are not alone on this journey.
