Morning Pages Integration Circle
Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families (ACA) meeting?
No. This is an independent, facilitator-led practice focused on nervous-system awareness, inner-child attunement, and integration through non-dominant handwriting. It is not affiliated with Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families or any 12-step organization.

Is this meant to replace ACA or therapy?
No. Many participants are actively engaged in ACA, therapy, or other forms of support. This practice is designed to complement those paths by supporting embodied listening and integration. It is not a substitute for peer-support programs, psychotherapy, or medical care.

How is this different from ACA meetings?
ACA meetings are peer-led and focused on shared recovery through fellowship and literature. This practice is facilitator-led and body-based. We do not share recovery stories, give advice, or work the steps together. Instead, we focus on sensation, presence, and what the body communicates in the moment.

Why non-dominant handwriting (NDH)?
NDH is a gentle way to slow down the nervous system and access felt sense rather than narrative. It supports listening without analysis or interpretation. Participants complete NDH privately before the group and are never required to share what they write.

Do I have to share during the group?
No. Sharing is always optional. Passing is welcome and respected. When participants do share, they name brief sensations, emotions, or insights, not personal histories or detailed stories.

Is there a fee to participate?
This practice is supported through monthly participant contributions. These contributions help sustain facilitation, preparation, and the ongoing stewardship of the work.

Suggested monthly contributions:
-
Community Rate: $20
-
Sustainer Rate: $35
-
Supporter Rate: $50

Those who can contribute at the sustainer or supporter level help keep this practice accessible to others.

What if I can’t afford the monthly contribution?
If cost is a barrier, you are welcome to participate at no cost. No explanation is required. You are trusted to choose what is right for you. This practice values accessibility and nervous-system safety over financial pressure.

How do I choose the right rate?
Choose the rate that feels supportive, not stressful.

-
If finances are tight, the community rate or free option is appropriate.
-
If you are able to contribute at the sustainer or supporter level, you help sustain the container for others.

All participants receive the same experience, care, and access.

Why not donation-only?
This is a facilitator-led practice that requires preparation, presence, and responsibility. A monthly contribution helps maintain a consistent, reliable container while still honoring accessibility.

This work is grounded in choice. We trust each participant to engage in a way that supports both themselves and the integrity of the space.
