Gc-MAF Yogurt Recipe
What is Gc-MAF?
GcMAF is a vitamin D-binding protein. It’s scientifically known as Gc protein-derived Macrophage Activating Factor. It’s a protein that supports the immune system and is naturally found in the body. GcMAF activates macrophage cells, or the cells responsible for fighting off infection, viruses, and disease.

Leaky gut is a primary cause of many autoimmune diseases (1). Bovine colostrum supports a healthy gastrointestinal tract and has been shown to aid in healing a leaky gut. Colostrum contains immune and growth factors that support immune function. When mixed with milk and probiotics, the yogurt triggers the production of Gc-MAF proteins that boost immune cells, destroy malignant cells, help fight viruses, infections, and reverse the symptoms of chronic diseases. Following is the recipe I follow to make Gc-MAF yogurt:
1-quart raw, whole milk from pasture-raised cows*
Probiotic (use all seven capsules) – After the first batch, you can use ¼ of yogurt to make your next batch

Bring the raw milk to room temperature in a glass container. Once the milk is at room temp, add the probiotics and 2 tablespoons of bovine colostrum, lightly mix, cover, and place it in the oven with the **light on. Allow it to ferment for 24-hours. Once done, transfer it to the refrigerator.

Recipe to consume Gc-MAF yogurt:
½ cup yogurt
½ tsp bovine colostrum (enjoy my discount when you use this link)
10 drops liquid minerals
1 tsp olive oil or flaxseed oil (the oleic acid in the oil is crucial for full activation)
I use liquid stevia to sweeten mine
Extra milk to thin if desired

Consume Gc-MAF yogurt twice daily: To reap the full benefit of Gc-MAF's healing ability, it is recommended you drink it twice a day: first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and at night before bed (an empty stomach is not required for the nighttime portion). After drinking it in the morning, wait an hour before you consume anything else. And drink it slowly. With each sip, swish it around in your mouth, allowing your body to absorb the nutrients. Since serum Gc protein is a vitamin D-binding protein (2), I take my vitamin D supplement with it.
I encourage you to Google the benefits of Gc-MAF yogurt. This is a good place to start. If you research the benefits, you will find websites selling expensive kits, which is unnecessary to make a nutritious yogurt. Plus, the kits typically contain only enough ingredients to make one batch of yogurt. The links I have provided above are far more economical and just as effective, plus you can make batch after batch of yogurt.
While I have provided affiliate links for Amazon and Sovereign Laboratories, the ingredients can be purchased from your local health food store. If you buy bovine colostrum from your local grocer, make sure it is of the highest quality and preferably from New Zealand and with liposomal delivery (LD). LD is a distinct bovine colostrum delivery system developed by Sovereign Laboratories. LD is intended to help optimize the effectiveness and bioavailability of bovine colostrum. It protects the colostrum's components against stomach acids and digestive enzymes until they reach the intestines, where its components are absorbed into the bloodstream. Colostrum with LD is designed to bypass digestion. It moves directly through the bowel wall and circulates throughout the body. Then, the colostrum reaches organs and cells in the body and remains bioavailable at the cellular level. It's why I choose Sovereign Labs when purchasing bovine colostrum; they sell a superior product.
I buy my raw milk from Sprouts and Lassen’s, two of the only local grocery stores that sell it. Click this link to find a local retailer for raw milk in your area.

*I use raw milk because I want the most nutrient-dense product. Pasteurized milk is heated to purposely kill off any harmful bacteria which also kills beneficial enzymes and healthy bacteria. You can use pasteurized milk, but I encourage you to buy milk from pasture-raised (grass-fed) cows. Click here to read about the Nutritional Benefits of Raw Milk vs. Pasteurized.

**Before I place the yogurt in the oven, I heat it to 110 degrees, turn the oven off, and let it cool slightly. Exposing live nutrients to a temperature over 110 degrees inactivates beneficial enzymes, reduces the bioavailability of vitamins, and destroys probiotics. Once cooled to warm, I place the yogurt in the oven with the light on and let it ferment for 24-hours. The oven light provides enough heat to culture the yogurt. Tip: so I don't accidentally turn the oven on to cook food and ruin my yogurt, I place a note on the stove to remind myself it's in there.
